Disable or Re-enable USB ports using Registry edit

Are you Computers Administrator in organization or School,college? Then probably you need this trick. Am i right? Because users may steal the documents or they may copy virus to your system. In order to restrict them you certainly want this hack.


To disable the access to USB port

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Run box, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. Navigat to this place:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesUsbStor

4. In the right pane, double-click on Start.
5. In the Value data box, type 4, click Hexadecimal (if it is not already selected), and then click OK.
6. Quit Registry Editor.

To re-enable a disabled port
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Run box, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. Navigate to this place

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesUsbStor

4. In the right pane, double-click on Start.
5. In the Value data box, type 3, click Hexadecimal (if it is not already selected), and then click OK.
6. Quit Registry Editor.
