To make it simpler to access your saved passwords, Apple unveiled the Passwords app during their most recent WWDC keynote on Monday. The new credentials app, which is akin to password management apps like Bitwarden or 1Password, allows users to easily retrieve their credentials. Those who use iCloud Keychain must access their passwords through the Settings app on their iPhone.

You can store passwords for websites, applications, and wifi with the new Passwords app in addition to account passwords. Additionally, you will be able to use Apple logins and Passkeys to log in, as well as retain two-factor verification tokens.

According to Apple, iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15 Sequoia, and visionOS 2 will all support the new Passwords app. A Windows software called Password will also be available.

This narrative is still evolving. The WWDC conference is scheduled to run through June 14 and Apple's keynote address is presently taking place.
